Winter fishing is very popular. Even a beginner can catch fish under the ice with a fishing rod, but in order to catch winter fish with nets, you need to have experience and know some tricks.
Instructions
Step 1
Installing a net under the ice is a difficult and painstaking task. First you need to cut the lane in the ice. Then holes are made from it along the line (the most optimal distance from one hole to another is 2-3 meters).
Step 2
After that, a pole with a rope is lowered into the lane. The pole must be at least 50 centimeters longer than the distance between the holes.
Step 3
Then, with the help of a hook, the rope is pulled from one hole to another. After that, the rope is tied to the upper fence and the net is pulled under the ice.
Step 4
It should be borne in mind that when installing nets in shallow water, the floating line must not be near the lower edge of the ice or touch it. This is necessary so that the tackle does not freeze into the ice mass, since in severe frost the ice growth can be about 10 centimeters per day.
Step 5
If you fish on the river, you can do without drilling holes, and use the current to draw the net. At the end of the network, you must first attach a foam buoy or an empty plastic bottle. This method is very convenient if the ice on the river has recently risen. Then through its thickness you will perfectly see the movement of your buoy.
Step 6
You can also use a special "torpedo" to pull nets under the ice, which is sold specifically for this purpose in fishing shops.
Step 7
When planning to fish with a net in winter, you must remember that by the middle of winter, most fish leave the current in quiet pools and pits.
Step 8
Going fishing in winter should be especially careful. If you are not sure about the strength of the ice or see gullies, then it is better to refuse fishing. You should also carefully monitor your health - fishing with nets is a long activity, so it is important to take care of warm clothes and shoes in advance, as well as hot tea in a thermos.
