You can make a warm headdress in different ways: use a thick working thread and large knitting; strips of fur; sew a lining from the inside of the product. Another solution is a double hat, when knitting of which one single piece of cut is enough. Such a canvas can be made on circular knitting needles and dispense with one upper connecting seam.
It is necessary
- - circular needles No. 3 and 3, 5;
- - centimeter;
- - jacquard pattern;
- - yarn of two or more colors;
- - contrasting thread;
- - darning needle.
Instructions
Step 1
Knit a pattern from the wool prepared for the hat with the front stitch. You should calculate the number of loops in length and the number of rows in height on a 10x10 cm square.
Step 2
Find out the circumference of your head. This will tell you how many stitches you need to cast on the circular knitting needles for the bottom of the double hat. For example, with a head circumference of 59 cm and a knitted square density of 31 rows by 21 loops, you will need only 108 initial loops to work.
Step 3
Try knitting a stylish two-layer rectangular beanie. For this work, you need to master the so-called Italian typesetting row. On needles # 3, cast on half of the required number of stitches (108: 2 = 54) plus another stitch - 55 in total. To do this, use a smooth and thin auxiliary thread in a contrasting color.
Step 4
Put the base yarn into work, securing it with a knot. Work in the first circular row of the garment with successive alternations of yarns and knit stitches.
Step 5
In the next row, knit the wrapped loops as purl, and remove the front loops untied. In this case, the working thread should always be located behind the knitting.
Step 6
Knit all the front loops of the third row, and remove the purl (now the thread is in front of work). In the next round, do the opposite: knit the purls, and remove the knitting needles on the working knitting needle untied (the thread behind knitting).
Step 7
Take the needles No. 3, 5 and throw the loops over them in this way: the front and back needles from the needles No. 3 are sequentially knitted; the next loops need to be rearranged, returned to knitting needle # 3 and knit as purl and knit. Following this pattern, you will get a 2x2 elastic (knit 2 and purl 2).
Step 8
Tie an elastic fabric about 2-2.5 cm in height and carefully pull out the auxiliary contrasting thread. Now you can go to the main pattern of the top, front, part of the headdress.
Step 9
Do a hosiery knit, optionally with a simple jacquard pattern. Choose for him beautiful, smooth transitions of multi-colored yarn. For example, brown, light brown and beige. You can take a suitable cross-stitch pattern as a template.
Step 10
Tie the outer cap fabric to the desired height. After the test fitting, complete the last row and proceed to the inside of the double piece.
Step 11
Examine the seamy side of the fabric with an Italian typesetting edge - you will see a small path of stretched threads. Pull the broaches onto the # 3 circular needles, tie in the working yarn and make the first row of stocking.
Step 12
Knit the inside of the double cap with the front stitch, taking the finished outside as a sample. At the end of the work, close the loops, sew the lining of the headgear on top and gently straighten it inside the product.
