Everyone knows that children's furniture should be environmentally friendly, natural, comfortable and safe. That is why all tables and chairs for a children's room are made of wood and have rounded corners. But sometimes children's furniture, especially economy class furniture, has a dull and dull look. And rooms for kids, furnished with such furniture, become official and inhospitable. Not everyone can afford to buy branded children's furniture, painted festively and brightly. Step 1
The technology of drawing a pattern on a wooden floor is different. For example, Khokhloma painting, which is used to paint dishes, household items, tables and chairs. This is a traditional Russian drawing, shimmering paints, varnish coating. Making one at home is problematic. The wooden surface is impregnated with linseed oil, then covered with aluminum powder, on which the picture is drawn. Several coats of varnish firmly set the design, making the paint shimmery. To give strength, the painted product is tempered in a special oven at a temperature of 130 degrees C.
Step 2
Who has such a stove in the house? Nobody! This means that we will not cover the furniture in the children's room with Khokhloma painting. We will find something easier and more fun for our children. Find a picture for the children's table in a children's magazine or in a children's book. Talk to your child about which one they will like.
Step 3
Carefully cut the picture along the contour, glue it to the surface of the table with PVA glue. Apply several (5-6) coats of acrylic lacquer on the table and drawing.
Step 4
Sand the last coat of varnish with an emery cloth. Then apply the final coat of varnish and sand it again with a zero sandpaper.
Step 5
Wait until the varnish is completely dry, wipe the table thoroughly with a damp cloth. You can put a transparent PVC table overlay on top of the picture. These are sold in furniture stores. Well, your child's table has become fun and bright. In the same way, you can decorate a chair, a wardrobe, and shelves.
