Crocheted knots are also called lush columns. The knot can be of any thickness. It depends on the thickness of the threads, the purpose of the product and the creative idea. It is very convenient to make such a viscous, for example, flower petals for decorating a hat or blouse. It also looks great on an openwork shawl. Since this element of the pattern is very embossed and each column is knitted several times, a little more threads are needed than usual.

It is necessary

  • - yarn of medium thickness;
  • - a hook on the thickness of the thread.

Instructions

Step 1

Cast on a chain of chain stitches. For a sample, knit 1 row with simple crochet stitches or crochet stitches. Turn the knit over and make 2 air loops.

Step 2

If the threads are soft, tie the knot as follows. Make a double crochet as you would for a regular double crochet. Insert the hook into the first column of the previous row. Pull out the working thread. You have 2 loops on your hook. Instead of knitting them together like you did in the front row, do another yarn over. Re-insert the hook into the same column of the previous row and again pull the working thread to the desired height. Repeat these two steps until you have as many loops and crochets on the hook as indicated in the diagram. Usually there are numbers 3 or 5, but maybe 7, and even 9 or 11. The last two options are possible only when knitting from thin, but rather soft cotton threads.

Step 3

Knit all the stitches on the hook, except the first, into one, just like when knitting a regular double crochet. You have two loops left. Tie them together. If the threads are thick, you can knit 1 air loop before the last operation, and only then knit it together with the extreme one.

Step 4

For stiff threads, there is another type of knot. For a sample, tie a chain of stitches and a row of simple double crochets or double crochets. Make a couple of air loops on the rise. In the first column of the previous row, knit 1 double crochet. Do not knit it all the way, there should be 2 loops on the hook. Make another of the same column in the same loop. Tie them as many as required according to the scheme. At the end of the process, there should be 1 more loop on the hook than is required according to the pattern. Knit them all together and fasten with an air loop.

Step 5

Try tying a flower with knots. Make a chain of chain stitches and close it into a ring. Tie 1-2 loops on the rise, then several columns in a ring. The ring must be completely closed. Make loops on the rise, then knot in an adjacent column. Tie a few stitches, skip a few stitches from the previous row, and make a knot again. In this way, knit all over the circle, evenly distributing the knots.
