A must-have hippie attribute that borrowed its patterns from the North American Indians - a thread bauble - still remains one of the favorite adornments of creative girls and boys. The weaving of such baubles is based on several basic knots, having mastered which it will be possible to create a bracelet of any color and width.
Instructions
Step 1
The main knot Such a knot is the basis of weaving any baubles. Leave the first thread free, and wrap the second one around the first one - first draw it down, then up and thread it into the resulting loop. Pull it tight. Repeat the entire algorithm and the node is ready. If your working thread is on the right side, then such a node will be called the right main one and on the diagram will look like a circle with an arrow to the right. If the working thread is on the left, then the opposite is true. If the first loop is made on the right, and then changes direction and makes a loop on the left, then this knot will be called the main one with a right turn. Well, and, accordingly, vice versa. If you tie several of these knots on the main thread, then you get a kind of spiral. If you tie the knots on several threads, you get a series of knots. Try to keep the knots even.
Step 2
Half knot Attach four strands to the surface. Connect the middle two and also attach so that they are motionless. Throw the leftmost thread over the two central ones and pass it under the right one. Pass the right thread under the center and over the left. Tighten the knot. If you make a whole chain of such nodes, you will get a spiral. If you make knots first from left to right, and then from right to left, then the spiral will twist in the opposite direction.
Step 3
Flat knot: Tighten the threads in the same way as for the half knot. Make a right-hand half knot following the directions in the previous step. Then pull the threads tight and tie the left half knot. You will have a flat knot.
