It would be nice to know a few tricks of knitting fishing knots, because sometimes the fish leads the rod so strongly that the line can break from the tension. And sometimes the leash, on which the fishing hook is fixed, breaks off if the fish is very heavy, and if caught on the driftwood, the sinker from the zakidushka can forever remain in the river abyss. There are many different types of fishing knots, each of which is suitable for different situations - when there is not enough line, when you use line of a certain thickness and made of different materials. Some knots are suitable for attaching the ends of a torn fishing line to each other, while others are convenient to make a leash for a hook. For cotton lines, a "blind knot" is better suited. To tie it, you need to thread the fishing line through the eye of the fishing hook and carefully throw it over the hook so as to get a blind loop. This strong knot can be used to attach a sinker

If you want to learn how to make a knot, which is much easier than a "deaf" knot, then tie the so-called "bayonet knot". To do this, you need to make two "half-bayonets" on the forend of the hook, i.e. twist the line around the hook, forming two loops. But it is better not to use such a knot on a synthetic line, as in this case it will slide a lot

The "fishing eight" is considered a more reliable knot. It gives you complete confidence that the knot will not come loose during fishing. To do it, you need to tie a simple knot on the fishing line threaded into the eye of the hook and throw it over the hook twice, securing it with another simple knot. This knot should only be made of nylon line. These are the so-called universal units, which, in addition to fishing, can be used in other cases. These also include the "ordinary eight". To make such a knot, the rope (line) must be folded in half to find the middle. Bring the lower end of the line to the right to the middle part - you get a loop. Do the same on the right, turning the end to the left. Tighten the knot tighter if necessary

The "California knot" has become very popular in California among anglers. There it is often used in tying hooks, weights and swivels. This simple knot uses exclusively nylon fishing line. Such a unit is very simple, but its disadvantage is not compactness. In Russia, preference is usually given to an ordinary "fishing knot". To do this, you need to insert a sturdy line made of polyamide resin into the eye of the hook and first tie a simple knot. Then tie a simple bow and lead the line through it, carefully tightening the loop. Such a knot is very simple and much more convenient than the "California knot".
