Actual oblique knitting attracts needlewomen with the plasticity and versatility of the fabric with diagonal patterns. It can be given the desired shape - from a rectangle to a square and a circle. This handicraft method is perfect for two-color and multi-colored products - both bulky (ponchos, cardigans) and visually slimming (vests, jackets). To master oblique knitting, first practice with a yarn pattern.
It is necessary
- - 2 straight needles # 3;
- - 5 stocking needles # 3;
- - 50 g of acrylic yarn (thread length 165 m);
- - hook;
- - satin ribbon;
- - buttons;
- - needle;
- - cotton thread to match the yarn.
Instructions
Step 1
Cast on a straight knitting needle 2 loops and purl them. Then continue knitting. In each front row, add canvas. To do this, at the beginning of the row after the edge (edge), knit an additional thread bow from the waist (transverse thread between adjacent loops).
Step 2
At the end of the row, add after the hem: the closing loop is knitted with the front one and left on the left (non-working) knitting needle. From it, the front crossed is performed: the right (working) knitting needle is inserted into the loop with a movement from itself to the left, then the thread is pulled towards itself.
Step 3
Continue expanding the knit until you reach the width you want. Now the part of the product needs to be narrowed. At the end of each front row, knit the hem and the subsequent loops together until only one thread is left on the left knitting needle. Carefully cut the yarn, leaving a “ponytail” about 10 cm long. You then thread it on the wrong side of the finished product using a crochet hook.
Step 4
Try a simple pattern using a diagonal knit - a newborn envelope. First you will need straight # 3 knitting needles and acrylic yarn of the appropriate thickness. As described in steps No. 1-3, make a rectangular canvas of the desired size.
Step 5
Cast on loops on needles # 3 along one of the edges of the rectangle and knit 6 rows of hosiery. After that, divide all the loops on the working knitting needle into 4 parts: leave 2 identical groups of loops for the envelope shelves and 2 for the back.
Step 6
Complete each detail separately. For the cutout on the left and right shelves, close the loops in the following sequence: first, 5 loops are taken out of work at once, then 3, 2 and 1. Make reductions, jointly knitting two adjacent thread arches.
Step 7
Sew the shoulders of the product from the inside of the fabric, then dial the required number of buttonholes for the sleeves on 4 knitting needles No. 3 and make the fabric of the desired size.
Step 8
For the hood, cast loops around the edge of the cutout on straight knitting needles and sew 2 rows with the front satin stitch. Next, you need to tighten the canvas using shortened rows.
Step 9
Do not complete the next front row, but turn the work over and make a yarn over. Do not tie the seamy row again, turn the canvas. Work in the pattern until you have the side of the hood. Then make the second side part of the part of the desired size and close the hinges on the right and left.
Step 10
Proceed to the central part of the part. Knit it by grabbing the outer side loops until the hood is fully formed.
Step 11
Tie the edge of the shelves and hood with four rows of single crochets. Along the edge of one of the shelves in place of the future buttons, make bows from air loops.
Step 12
Sew the bottom of the envelope and pass a satin ribbon along the belt line. Sew on the buttons.
