Beanie hats have been one of the most popular hats for several seasons. It is also noteworthy that it is quite easy to knit a beanie hat yourself. It is enough to know only the basics of knitting and be able to hold the knitting needles.

Instructions
Step 1
Before you start knitting a beanie hat, you need to know the size of the head. Next, a description of knitting a cap of 54 cm will be indicated. If you need to get a hat larger or smaller, then just add or reduce the number of loops at the very beginning. When dialing a different number of loops, dial a multiple of 4.
Step 2
Use 2 strands of yarn to knit a hat. To do this, either connect the beginning and end of the ball, or along a thread of two balls of the same color. You can try combining yarns from different materials. So, for example, you can take one strand of mohair and the other from a ball of acrylic yarn. Nobody forbids experimenting when creating your own cap.
Step 3
Take circular knitting needles. Their length should be equal to the length of your cap. If you do not have circular knitting needles of the required length, then you can use the circular knitting technique with a magic loop. For this technique, you need to take circular knitting needles with a length of at least 100 cm, otherwise it will be very difficult to knit.
Step 4
If you are knitting with needles over 100 cm long, cast on 80 stitches. If you do not know how to cast on knitting needles, then look at the picture. When knitting with circular needles equal to the length of the garment, cast on 81 stitches.
Step 5
Draw out one knitting needle and stretch the loops all the way down. The last loop should be on the right. If you have scored 81 loops, then you need to make a broach. To do this, transfer the first stitch to the right knitting needle. Then draw an eightieth loop under it and hang it back onto the left knitting needle. Discard the stretched loop. this way you will have 80 stitches on the needles.
Step 6
If you use knitting needles that are more than 100 cm long for knitting beanie hats, then after typing 80 loops and preparing a magic loop for knitting, start simply knitting in a circle without broaches. The main thing is to tighten the loops quite tightly during the knitting process when moving from the site.
Step 7
Knit for 18 rows. To keep the front loops straight, try to tighten the loops evenly and avoid puffs. You can knit in the grandmother's way, when the knitting needle goes through the back loop, but it is better to grab the thread through the front loop. Also, try to keep the same amount of tension with your finger.
Step 8
Select the pattern you would like to knit on the header. It's not necessary, but it looks pretty nice. Heart, star or crown designs are especially popular. But you can choose any pattern that suits the size. In this case, we will knit a beanie hat with a star pattern. Pattern repeat - 19 stitches.
Step 9
Start the nineteenth row by placing a marker. Next, knit 2 front loops along the pattern, then knit one purl, then you need to knit 13 front loops, 1 purl, 2 front and put a second marker. Knit with front loops to the end of the row. Knit the next rows strictly according to the pattern. Be careful not to make mistakes. Check each row carefully. It is better to find and correct an error in a pattern in a timely manner.
Step 10
After the pattern is finished, knit the required number of rows with the front loops so that the beanie's hat is about 20 cm high. After that, transfer the loops to the stocking needles. Each knitting needle should have 20 loops.
Step 11
Now the decrease in loops begins. It must be done through a row. Decrease will be made on each spoke at the beginning and at the end. Just knit two stitches together. Knit all the way to the end, leaving 3 loops at the end. Now remove the third loop from the knitting needle, knit the second loop as usual. From the third loop, make a broach and discard it. Tie the last loop as usual. At the end of the row, you will have 18 stitches on each needle. The whole circle will have 72 stitches. Knit the next row as usual with front loops. The next row will again be with decreases at the beginning and at the end of each knitting needle. Repeat this process until there are 4 stitches left on each knitting needle.
Step 12
Cut the thread so that the length of the tail is 20-30 cm. Take the crochet hook. Remove the loops from one knitting needle. Crochet them all. Grab the loose thread and pull it through the loops. Do this with each spoke. Tighten the thread and pull it to the wrong side.
Step 13
Secure the thread to the wrong side by making a loop. Cut off the excess and hide the ponytail. The beanie hat is ready.
