How to make a star out of paper

To make a 3D star, you will need colored paper or cardboard, scissors, a pencil, glue, and thread or ribbon.

Simple volumetric star

To complete this star, you need to take two square sheets of colored paper and fold them horizontally and vertically, that is, 2 times. Next, you need to unfold the sheet again and bend it diagonally also 2 times. Expand the folded sheet again and make cuts with scissors along straight folds. The length of the cut should not reach the center of the sheet, about half. There should be 4 identical cuts in total. Next, you need to bend the cut edges of the sheet to get 4 rays of the future star. Glue should be applied to one side of the beam, and the other side should be applied to it.

Now you need to make the same blank from the second sheet of paper. It can be taken in the same color, or it can be taken in another, which will go well with the first blank.

When both parts of the star are ready, you need to glue them in such a way that the rays are displaced. The finished star can be decorated as you wish. It remains to glue a beautiful thin ribbon to the upper ray and hang it in a suitable place.

The simplest star

To make such an asterisk, you need to cut two ordinary stars out of thick colored paper or colored cardboard. Paper for them can be taken in different colors or the same, but painted on both sides. An incision is made on the first star, which will go from top to bottom from the outer corner of the beam to the center of the star. On the second, an incision is made from the inner corner to the middle of the product. Next, you need to insert one star into another using these cuts. The craft is ready, it remains only to glue the ribbon and hang the star.

Convex star

For these small but very cute stars, you need to prepare strips of colored paper 1 cm wide and 20 cm long. From the finished strip, you need to make a small loop and tie a knot. It should be moderately tightened - not tight and not weak. The rest of the strip must be folded back so that it is not visible from the front side. Next, you need to turn the star over to the other side and wind the long tail of the strip around the star. Each edge must be wrapped at least twice. The strip will itself lie in the right direction. As a result, you should get a pentagon with sides wrapped several times. The tail must be bent and hidden between the interweaving of the strips.

To give the craft the required volume, you need to take the star with one hand, and gently press on each edge with the other.

Such stars turn out to be very small and, if you make a lot of them, they will be a wonderful decoration for the holiday. They can be used to decorate a panel or a picture, or you can put them in a glass jar of an interesting shape. In the latter version, it will be a separate decorative element.
