An experienced modeler can build a beautiful bench model of a ship with many detailed details. A skilled person who does not possess such skills can make a wooden boat easier, and it will float. And what model of the ship can be built with his own hands, for example, a primary school student?

- - plastic bottle 1, 5-2 l;
- - drawing paper;
- - glue;
- - stationery knife;
- - scissors;
- - awl;
- - wooden slats or glazing beads;
- - threads.
Instructions
Step 1
To build a simple model of the ship, prepare a clean, label-free plastic bottle with a volume of 1.5-2 liters. To prevent the masts of the future ship from being crooked, draw on the bottle as accurately as possible from the neck, through the bottom and to the neck, a line along the vertical axis. Depending on the number of masts on your sailboat, mark the points on the center line where they will be located.
Step 2
Masts can be made from straight, not thick shoots of hazel, from window glazing beads, thin slats, rounded with a knife. Their approximate length should be from 30 to 50 cm, in view of the fact that a three-masted frigate, for example, has the first mast (foremast) of medium height, the second (mainsail) is the highest, the third and last mast (mizzen) is the shortest. It must be remembered that about 10 cm of the length of each mast will go inside the bottle.
Step 3
Pierce the marked places with an awl, enlarge the holes with rotational movements with the end of the knife so that the masts are inserted tightly into them. Draw sails on white paper, cut them out with scissors, mark the holes for the masts on them, draw some symbolism. Make cross-shaped slots for the masts along the markings.
Step 4
Insert the rounded, sanded and painted masts into the holes, applying a large drop of thick glue, such as liquid nails, to the lower ends. Press the masts to the bottom in a longitudinal line so that they are strictly vertical and parallel to each other. Insert a couple of small self-tapping screws into the bottom of the bottle to attach the thread rigging, which will only serve as a decoration for the ship's model, and not fix the masts.
Step 5
When the glue under the bases of the masts is dry, reinstall the sails. To prevent them from scrolling in a mess from gusts of wind, coat the places where the tree touches the paper with glue. Tie the neck of the bottle with the front mast with a thread, then tie all three masts together, and from the last two pieces of thread tie to the self-tapping screws in the bottom of the bottle.
Step 6
Near the neck of the bottle, you can fix another processed twig or a wooden skewer, which will represent a bowsprit. On the thread stretched between it and the first mast, glue the oblique sails (jibs) with tape. For beauty, you can also hang all kinds of rigging on your model of the ship, and in order for it to get off the water, it remains only to pour fine pebbles or sand inside the bottle (the amount is selected empirically), screw the cap and wish the captain of the ship seven feet under the keel!
