To draw a student, you should learn how to depict a human figure. Next, you can add the appropriate features and details, turning the sketch into a fun or serious schoolboy.

Instructions
Step 1
Prepare a simple pencil and a piece of paper. Choose a pose in which the figure of a boy will be depicted and place the sheet of paper horizontally or vertically. Start sketching with a pencil.
Step 2
Sketch the outline of the person in circles and ovals. If something doesn't work right away, take your time to erase it with an eraser. It is better to change the correct direction with light strokes, and then smoothly edit the drawn one. Align the proportions. Remember that the head should fit into the body seven times, the elbows should be at the level of the waist, and the palms should be the size of the face. Measure your legs and arms with a pencil so that they are the same length.
Step 3
Get busy drawing details. Round corners, outline hair and clothing. Draw on the head a vertical line in the middle, a horizontal line for the eyes, nose, and mouth.
Step 4
Think about what clothes the student will have and mark it in the picture. It can be a formal school uniform or a fashionable youth outfit. Draw eyes, mouth and nose on the face, guiding along the lines already outlined. Add ears and hair. If necessary, label the headgear.
Step 5
Add attributes to the picture (if necessary) - a portfolio, textbooks, a bouquet of flowers, etc. Using the eraser, carefully erase all the auxiliary lines. Think about the background. Determine what materials you need for your color work and choose a palette. Add the desired colors to the picture.
Step 6
Indicate the direction of the light and indicate the shadow in the picture. Start filling the picture from top to bottom, starting with the background. Then switch to the boy figure. Do not rush to apply the primary colors right away, do it gradually and refine the details as you work. In the case of a pencil drawing, emphasize the shape of the body, clothing with strokes. When working with paints, also try to keep track of the volume, choose the correct proportions of light, highlights and shadows.
