With the onset of the new season, we make an audit in our wardrobes and mezzanines and find a lot of things that are both a pity to throw away and can no longer be worn. Many knitted sweaters and sweaters are idle due to the stretching of the sleeves, a small hole has appeared, but if you feel that you could still use these things for their intended purpose, then you can try to fix them.
It is necessary
- - An old sweater, perhaps not one;
- - pieces of colored felt;
- - a needle and thread;
- - decorative buttons.
Instructions
Step 1
From several knitted sweaters, make one, but stylish and fashionable. On the thing that you took as a basis, sew details from others - pockets, elastic bands and just pieces with processed edges. Thus, you can correct the length of the sleeve, its width, and also change the overall length of the product. And, of course, the sweater will take on a completely different look - now it's a trendy trend, not a boring gray worn sweater!
If you need to correct the size of the product, then open the old things from which you are sewing and, combining the details, sew a new pullover, cardigan or jacket from them.
Step 2
Transform a thick sweater with felt of a different color - make a false fastener strip and a tree trunk from brown. From the yellow, orange, green pieces, cut out the leaves that are still hanging on the tree and that are abundantly strewn with the autumn soil. Pick up buttons made of wood - they will fit perfectly into this picture!
Imagine yourself, because you can depict anything - cool animals, bright flowers, geometric shapes arranged like in a kaleidoscope.
Step 3
You can fix a sweater or cardigan that is stretched out and do not look very presentable by making a one-color applique on them. Fantasy and bright panels, as in the previous version, are not quite suitable for work clothes. But you can quickly and easily depict delicate flowers from the petals of openwork knitwear and decorate an old jacket with them. The result will impress your friends - they will probably want to update their old knitwear too.
Step 4
If you just need to mask a hole or a stain in one place of the product, then you can do this again with the help of colored felt. Cut out a variety of petals and fold a flower from them in the right place - that's all, you just need to sew all the details neatly. Instead of felt, you can use pieces of suede and leather, create a complex applique using beads, sequins and other decorative material.
Step 5
A dark blue smooth sweater will turn out to be very fashionable and stylish if you add it with details in a nautical style - metal buttons with nautical symbols sewn in two rows. Sew white parts with red ribbons between them, depicting the uniform sewing of a sea jacket. The main thing in this version of the alteration is to find suitable large buttons.
