A volcano is a unique formation on the earth's surface, through which hot lava, rocks, ash and gases erupt. When the time of the eruption comes, magma from the underground chamber flows upward along the vent and comes out to the surface of the Earth in the form of lava. Volcanoes usually look like mountains due to their conical shape, but their distinguishing feature is the deepening of the crater at the top. The eruption of a volcano is a grandiose and majestic sight of a natural disaster, accompanied by a bright heavenly glow and fiery streams of lava on the black earth.

It is necessary

  • - paper;
  • - drawing supplies;
  • - crayons / wax crayons / pastels.

Instructions

Step 1

Pre-compose the future drawing on the sheet: let the volcano be located in its lower part, but leave a margin for the image of the surrounding area below, as well as enough space above to depict the sky and a pillar of fire erupting from the volcano.

Step 2

Draw an inverted V. Erase the top of the resulting shape and draw a horizontal zigzag line, giving the top of the mountain the texture of sharp rocks. You have the body of a volcano.

Step 3

Above the volcano, depict huge clouds of smoke in the form of a giant cloud. Connect it to the top of the volcano with straight lines, which show that smoke is coming from its vent.

Step 4

Draw streams of flowing lava with several wavy lines running from top to bottom along the body of the volcano. Also, inside the cloud of smoke, depict several objects of indeterminate shape, which are stones, flying up into the air. Draw a trajectory for each rock as it flies up over the top of the volcano.

Step 5

To make the drawing have depth and naturalism, convey in it the landscape surrounding the erupting volcano: next to it, draw a few more mountain hills and hills a little further away, in the background. According to the laws of perspective, they will be smaller than the volcano in the foreground. Add trees and other vegetation.

Step 6

Proceed to the most important and interesting stage - coloring the picture. Make the volcano and the hills dark, but on its top, as well as on the slopes of all the hills and on the trees that are closest to it, there will be red and orange reflections of the fire burning in the mouth of the volcano. Depict a huge glow of various shades of red in the sky, covered with dark clouds and a layer of black dust.

Step 7

On the dark slopes of the volcano, draw contrasting bright orange stripes of lava. Make the ground around it a dark gray. In the foreground, show the green grass that has not yet been burnt.
