During his short life - only 35 years - Mozart managed to leave a mark in all genres that had formed by that time: cantatas, sonatas, odes, spiritual and choral music, symphonies, chamber instrumental works, vocal works, etc. But the main place in his work is occupied by musical and dramatic works in his native language.

Mozart's early works are characterized by lightness and gaiety. When compared with biographical facts, this cheerfulness becomes understandable: the Austrian prodigy is successful, the whole of Europe applauds him, the emperor listens to his music. But failures leave their mark. Over time, Mozart's music acquires a tinge of tragedy, and the look of the lyrical hero changes from carefree to philosophically aloof.

There is no unequivocal answer to the question of how to play Mozart, and the point is not in the contradictions among teachers and performers, but in the instrument for which the music was written. To master the intricacies of playing a specific instrument, be it a piano, violin or flute, contact an experienced teacher. In any case, without his help, music-making turns into mechanical reproduction of notes and does not convey either the spirit of the era or the composer's mood.

Read works on how to play your instrument. In particular, the famous teacher G. Neuhaus studied the peculiarities of the performance of Mozart's clavier works. He drew the attention of his students to pedalization and sought a short straight pedal (strictly for the strong beat and quick release). However, there are some common features that are important to consider when playing any instrument. The strokes are performed according to the rules of the classical school.
