Bedspreads made using the patchwork technique look unusually beautiful and impressive. Such an accessory will complement almost any interior: it all depends solely on the color scheme of the product. Today, a patchwork coverlet can be purchased in a store, made to order, or sewn on your own.
It is necessary

- - piece of fabric for lining:
- - synthetic winterizer;
- - threads;
- - scissors;
- - sewing machine;
- - wide band for edging;
- - cardboard;
- - marker.
Instructions
Step 1
Determine the size of the fabric parts that the bedspread will consist of. When making a product for the first time, do not use complex patterns and shapes. The best option is identical squares. To simplify and speed up your work, cut the template to the correct size from cardboard.
Step 2
Cut the prepared fabrics into squares using the template and leave 1 cm seam allowances. You can use both completely different materials and materials of similar colors. Having finished creating the details, put them in the future bedspread, laying next to each other. In order not to forget the order of colors and directions of the drawings, take a picture of the sample.
Step 3
Start sewing the squares together. It is best to do this from the center - this way you practically protect yourself from bias in any direction. When finished sewing the front of the bedspread, iron the seams, "flattening" them.
Step 4
Trim the edges of the front side with strips of plain fabric (about 5-6 cm) - this will make the product more neat and prevent its deformation. From the seamy side, lay a synthetic winterizer and “cover” it with a prepared fabric. Please note: it should be larger than the part of the squares on all sides. Connect all layers with a sewing machine. Trim the edges with wide tape around the entire perimeter.
Step 5
Patchwork bedspreads often have a stitch. It adds originality to the product and makes it more durable. Also, thanks to the stitch, the synthetic winterizer will not start to get lost over time. To carry out this procedure, your machine must "be able" to create decorative seams.
Step 6
Select one of the modes and thread a contrasting / matching thread. The simplest stitch is along the squares, exactly along the seams. Start to do it from the middle (as the shreds were sewn). Sew all the vertical lines first, then the horizontal ones. So your patchwork bedspread will not only become denser, but also acquire a more expressive texture.
