The film Redline, which was called "Need for Speed" in the domestic box office, was first seen by viewers on April 13, 2007. The relatively small $ 26 million American film was directed by Andy Cheng. Many people compare it to the movie Fast and Furious, which has already become a kind of standard for action thrillers with street racing.
The plot of the film centers around a cycle of underground drag racers in Los Angeles, funded by a couple of billionaires - a Hollywood producer and a Chinese businessman who want to measure the power of their rare supercars. Naturally, the coolest racers in the area are hired as drivers, but they are challenged by the American Cinderella with the Russian name Natasha. She is played by the sexy actress Bjorlin with the no less Russian real name Nadia (Nadia Bjorlin). The heroine - a mechanic in her parents' car service and an aspiring musician - is drawn into a racing fever with the glitter of millions of prizes and criminal methods of struggle by pure chance.
The film has all the necessary attributes of a racing action movie - a showdown with the local mafia, friction with the police, cars taking off from acceleration, crippled racers, a mass of beautiful women and true love. And most importantly - the roar of engines and horse doses of adrenaline in high-quality racing scenes to the music of the most sophisticated cars. It is not for nothing that the slogan of the picture was the motto "Do not be afraid, risk everything." Car lovers can see in the picture a mind-boggling array of supercars - Ferrari 612 Scaglietti and Enzo Ferrari, Saleen S7 Twin Turbo, Koenigsegg CCX, Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren, Lamborghini Diablo and Lamborghini Murcielago, Porsche Carrera GT, Rolls-Royce Phantom. There is also a scene in the film with the participation of a powerful motorcycle Ducati 999. It is curious that some of the cars involved in Need for Speed were selected from a private garage by the film's producer Daniel Sadek. And two cars, priced at $ 450,000 and $ 1,500,000, did not make it to the end of filming.
In addition to Nadia Bjorlin, Nathan Phillips, Eddie Griffin, Angus McFadien, Jesse Johnson, Tim Mathison, Neill Skylar, Denis Lawton and other not yet the most famous actors starred in the film.
