Evgeny Petrosyan is one of the most popular and experienced comedians on the Russian stage, a showman who proudly bears the title of People's Artist of the RSFSR. In his life, the artist managed to visit several marriages, but Elena Stepanenko remains his most famous wife.
Biography of Evgeny Petrosyan
The future comedian was born on September 16, 1945 in the city of Baku, Azerbaijan SSR. From birth, Eugene bore the surname Petrosyants, which he later abbreviated for euphony. Parents worked in the scientific field and tried to raise a worthy citizen of the Soviet Union from their son. The young man himself gradually came to the decision to become an artist and bring people joy from the stage. He stubbornly walked towards his dream, trying to develop the skills necessary for the profession: he performed in folk and puppet theaters, composed and read feuilletons to the public, played his own performances.
In 1961, Evgeny Petrosyan decided to move to Moscow, where he was successfully enrolled in the ranks of students of the All-Russian workshop of pop art. Soon he began performing at a professional level in various institutions of the capital, and from 1964 to 1969 he worked as an entertainer at the State Orchestra of the country. Later he moved to one of the leading positions at Mosconcert, where he worked until 1989. For his significant contribution to the development of culture and art in 1985, Yevgeny Vaganovich was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the RSFSR, and in 1991 he became "People's Artist".
Evgeny Petrosyan is known as the creator of the Theater of Variety Miniatures and one of the leading residents of the comic TV show "Full House", in which he performed from 1987 to 2000. In 1994, he also began to host the author's program "Smehopanorama" on the country's main channel. From 2003 to 2014, the artist worked as the head and resident of the humorous project "Crooked Mirror". Currently, he continues to perform, however, due to his old age, he does this less often and mainly only at major television concerts.
Unfortunately, in recent years, Evgeny Vaganovich has often been criticized for strange and sometimes too experimental humor, which is often incomprehensible to the younger generation. In everyday life, the expression "petrosyanit" even appeared, meaning "joking is not funny and flat". However, the artist has enough loyal fans, confident that he has not lost his former skill.
Personal life of a humorist
For the first time, Evgeny Petrosyan got married in 1968. The wife's name is still a secret, however, according to rumors, she is a close relative of the famous ballerina Victorina Krieger. It was the humorist's first wife (and not Elena Stepanenko) who gave him his only child - daughter Victorina. The marriage did not last long and soon fell apart. There is even an opinion that the artist joined it exclusively to obtain a Moscow residence permit.
The comedian entered into a second marriage with Anna Kozlovskaya, the daughter of the opera singer Ivan Kozlovsky. The wife was seven years older than him. Perhaps it was the age differences that ultimately led to the divorce. Petrosyan's third wife was a woman named Lyudmila, who worked as an art critic in Leningrad. At first, the marriage went well, and the wife even repeatedly performed with Eugene on the same stage, but in the end there was a break here as well.

Elena Stepanenko became the fourth wife of the famous comedian. They met in the 80s, when a young artist, who had recently graduated from GITIS, came to audition at the Petrosyan Variety Theater. By this time, the artist was going through hard times in his personal life: behind several divorces, and the only daughter who did not get along with her father emigrated to the United States. It was Elena who became the long-awaited ray of joy and hope for Eugene.
At first, the couple was just friends, since Elena was already married, but soon the lovers confessed their feelings to each other, and the woman filed for divorce. After that, Stepanenko married Petrosyan, but decided to keep her own surname. They began to perform on stage together, Elena supported her husband and helped with his creative projects. Unexpectedly for everyone, in 2018, the couple filed for divorce. As it turned out, the relationship between the spouses has long cooled down, and for several years each of them lived their own lives.
Already quite an age comedian did not remain alone for long. Suddenly, the audience began to notice that the artist prefers women of a fairly young age. First, he courted a girl who worked in the administration of his theater, then began dating his 29-year-old assistant Tatyana Brukhunova. A real romance broke out between them: the couple quickly felt a similarity in characters, and soon Eugene presented his beloved with an engagement ring. He also managed to make peace with his daughter Viktorina, who successfully married in the United States and gave Yevgeny Vaganovich two grandchildren - Andreas and Mark.
