The history of the zherlitsa goes back to antiquity, it is a primordially folk fishing tool for predatory fish. It is interesting for its simplicity of design and ease of use. Zerlitsy are winter and summer, the principle of catching with both options is the same. However, if you have set summer gates for the night, there is no need to guard them. The pike, seizing the live bait, detects itself, and you just have to collect the catch in the morning.
Instructions
Step 1
Fishing on girders in the warm season is convenient with the help of an ancient flyer that has been tested for centuries. It is made from a knot of wood and is similar to the letter "Y" with a width between the horns up to 60 degrees. A fishing line (0.5-1mm) is wound on them, having the color of the water of the reservoir, then it is fixed in the groove so that it does not unwind before biting.
Step 2
A long metal leash with a hook is tied to the end of the line. It is advisable to take large doubles, but the maximum size must be calculated so that the live bait stuck behind the back does not receive severe damage and can swim for a long time. Pike bait is chosen from those types of fish for which it usually hunts.
Step 3
Summer zippers are usually installed in the evening, it is more convenient to do this from a boat. The place for fishing is chosen quiet, near the edge of coastal bushes or thickets of aquatic grass. A pole is stuck into the ground, and a girder is hung on it above the water. You can fix it on a branch of a tree or shrub hanging over the water surface. Live bait is lowered almost to the very bottom and a few more girders are placed in the same way.
Step 4
A pike, noticing prey, flies into it and grabs it across. Then she swims to the side, at the same time, imperceptibly for herself, pulls the line out of the groove and begins to unwind it. The pike stops, turns around and swallows the live bait. Feeling the prick of the hook, the fish begins to rush and can entangle the line around the snags. For this reason, it is not worth making a very large supply of fishing line in such places.
Step 5
They take out the pike they come across slowly. A very large predator will easily break the line or leave its stomach on the hook instead of itself. Trying to escape, the fish will rush from side to side, sometimes jumping out of the water. Hold it by gently pulling it to the bank at every opportunity. Gradually the fish will get tired and allow you to bring the landing net under itself.
