Step 1
Build the "skeleton" of the mermaid on paper. To do this, sketch out the outlines of the torso, tail and head, and then break up the resulting areas with lines, showing the location of the waist, chest and tail fin. Do the same with a face in which two horizontal stripes intersect with a vertical one. These measures will help keep all proportions.
Step 2
Draw the left side of the tail, showing a smooth transition from the thin waist to the hip. Add guidelines for the chest and the outside of the arm. Draw the face and outline the pointed chin.
Step 3
Draw the curls that frame the face. And then add the right side of the body. Start drawing the chest and arms.
Step 4
Separate the tail from the body with a smooth line and begin to draw curly curls.
Step 5
Draw a brush to the right hand and proceed with the design of the swimsuit. And add more curls to the hairstyle.
Step 6
Gently erase all the rough lines, being careful not to touch the main drawing. Then more clearly outline the contours of the mermaid.
Step 7
Start coloring using watercolors or crayons. Use light blue or blue as the background to show the depths of the sea. You can also finish drawing other aquatic inhabitants, for example, fish or crabs, but this is optional.
