In general, it is very easy to knit a beret with knitting needles (two), or you can crochet. You need to dial the number of loops that will correspond to the head circumference. Then the usual strap is knitted with an elastic band of 2-3 cm.

It is better to add loops only in even rows, or in every fourth. The second third must be knitted exactly, while it may have slightly fewer rows than in the first part. The last third will be the top of the beret. To knit it, you need to divide the knitting into six parts. For example, if it turned out that only six loops remain on the knitting needles, they will need to be pulled together with a thread. If you knit takes not on circular knitting needles, but with the help of a crochet hook, then all that remains is to sew a seam. The finished product must be wetted and spread out to dry.
