It is believed that the stork symbolizes unity, longevity and peace. Perhaps that is why the figure of this bird adorns garden plots and country houses. A stork made of wood can be placed on the estate or installed on the roof of the house as a weather vane.

Instructions
Step 1
Take a piece of paper and spread it out on a flat surface. The parameters of the sheet should be such that a stork of the desired size fits on it. Do not include the bird's feet in the drawing. Draw the bird yourself or sketch from the illustration you like. Typically, the stork is drawn with two ovals defining the torso and head, which are then connected by neck lines. Draw the tail and beak. Draw the wings separately.
Step 2
Cut out the outline, attach it to the plywood with buttons or spray glue, or simply trace with a pencil. Saw out the outlines. To do this, place the plywood on the sawing table. Move the jigsaw in even strokes with light pressure.
Step 3
If you need to cut out the inner contour in the figure, drill a hole inside it, stepping back 1 cm from the edge. Loosen the jigsaw file from one end and, threading it into the hole, re-fasten it. Pull it to the hole in the center. After the inner part has been cut, undo the blade again and pull out the jigsaw.
Step 4
Sand the cut with coarse sandpaper. Then rub over the surface with a more delicate sandpaper. Sand the shape until the surface is really smooth. The last sanding is done in the direction of the wood pattern. Finally, sand the product along the edges.
Step 5
At the base of the body, drill holes made of steel wire or round wooden blocks to fix the bird's legs in it. Also drill two holes in the wooden block on which the stork will stand. Fill the holes one third with glue. Insert the rods of stork legs into them and leave for the glue to fully set.
Step 6
Apply wood glue along the contour of the wings. Attach them to the torso on both sides and clamp them into the clamps. After the glue has dried, apply a white primer to the figure. Then paint over the wings with light gray paint and the tips of the wings with black. Paint the beak, paint the eyes. Also cover the legs with red paint. After the paint has completely dried, cover the product with varnish.
