Braid embroidery appeared about 300 years ago. It is beautiful, embossed and does not require special precision. It is used when embroidering flower panels, it is used to decorate clothes, bags, etc. A braid made of silk, organza, velvet is suitable for work. It bends easily, it can easily be given the desired shape.
It is necessary
- - braid;
- - embroidery hoop;
- - a needle with a large eye;
- - threads matching the color;
- - hairpins.
Instructions
Step 1
Use a thick needle with a large eye for embroidery. Hoop the fabric over the hoop. Secure the end of the tape from the wrong side with blind stitches using regular thread. Pull it out to the front. When embroidering, for example, a chamomile flower, run the tape from the center of the flower and bend it at the end of the petal. Secure with a hairpin. Sew on with blind stitch or decorative stitch. Then the tape is laid in the opposite direction. Bend it in the center of the flower, fix it. The rest of the petals are embroidered in the same way. When all of them are embroidered, secure the end of the tape from the wrong side.
Step 2
The same flower can be embroidered in a slightly different way. Transfer the design to the fabric and mark the locations of the petals on it. Draw the outline of the flower and its center with a working thread with a needle-forward stitch. Fasten the tape from the wrong side. Output to the front. To secure the end of the petal, pull the tape under the contour stitch. Then run it in the opposite direction. Pull under one of the center contour stitches.
Step 3
With air loops, you can embroider flowers of a lilac or marigold branch. Attach the tape to the wrong side. Bring to the front and then back to the back next to the first puncture. Do not tighten the loop formed by the braid, but place it along the contour of the petal. In places of bends, secure with a blind seam.
Step 4
The rose flower is embroidered in a spiral, starting from the middle. Attach the end of the tape to the wrong side. Bring the needle to the right side. Tape the needle tightly from bottom to top. Support the wrap with your fingers. Bring the needle out to the wrong side, near the first puncture site. Place the bindings in a knot. You have got the middle of the flower.
Step 5
Bring the needle to the right side. Sew the petals with straight stitches at a specific angle, neatly and evenly stitch to stitch. Do not pull the tape tight. Spread out the petals with a needle or pin.
Step 6
A decorative rosette is very simple. Take a 10 cm piece of tape. Sew along the edge with a regular stitch, pull gently and attach to the fabric in a spiral pattern.
