The attitude of needlewomen to knitting products is very different - some are able to knit the most intricate patterns in one go, but at the same time "get lost" in five knitting needles when knitting socks. For others, any, even the most simple, pattern is an incomprehensible art, but when knitting socks, they are docks. But for work, you only need such skills as knitting the front and back loops, as well as knitting 2 loops together (in the heel and for decreasing in the toes).

It is necessary

  • - 5 needles No. 3-3, 5;
  • - yarn.

Instructions

Step 1

Cast on 2 knitting needles 40 loops and start knitting an elastic band, which can be done according to the 2x2 pattern (2 front loops, 2 purl) or 1x1 (1 front, 1 purl). To start knitting with all knitting needles, in the first row, knit 10 loops on each of the 4 knitting needles and close the circle. The fifth spoke will be working. Make 25 rows that form the elastic. Then you can make socks in different ways. In one case, it is permissible to immediately start tying the heel, and in the other, after the elastic, you can now knit another 20 rows with the front satin stitch, which will become a continuation of the elastic in the ankle area.

Step 2

At the end of the elastic, start tying the heel. To do this, leave the work on 2 knitting needles for a while. Transfer the loops from the remaining two knitting needles to one and knit the front fabric in the amount of 15 rows. Then divide the 20 stitches into 3 pieces. The side pieces will be 7 stitches each, and the middle section will be 8 stitches. Continue to knit with the front satin stitch while decreasing. To start knitting the heel, first knit 6 stitches, then knit 2 together, 6 knit stitches, knit 2 together and the remaining 6 stitches. Knit the reverse side with purl without subtracting. Then, in each next front row, repeat the reduction of the loops again according to the same principle. There should be 8 loops in the middle part of the heel - the decrease occurs due to the lateral fragments. Continue knitting the heel until the middle section is flush with the hem loops on the side sections.

Step 3

After finishing work with the heel, continue to knit the loops that remained on the 2 knitting needles. When you get to the heel edge loops, type new ones from them (one from each edge loop, that is, a total of 7 loops). Then knit a continuation of the middle part of the heel (8 loops) and again cast on 7 more loops from the hem. The total number of stitches on the needles will be restored again.

Step 4

Work in a circle for about 30 rows, then start decreasing the stitches, which must be done in the area of the fingers. On each knitting needle, knit the last 2 stitches together. Do this in each row, then you get a nice reduction in the form of arcs. When all the loops come off, pull the thread through the last one. Pull the end of the thread to the wrong side and secure.
