Usually the "bokeh" effect is achieved with the help of special manipulations with the camera, but it can be achieved after processing the photo in Photoshop.

While in a professional camera, to achieve the effect of a blurred background when shooting, it is enough to open the aperture completely, then on an inexpensive digital camera, the size of the matrix does not allow achieving the same, only opening the lens aperture.

In order to get a blurry effect when shooting in a cheap camera, increase the aperture value, position the subject as far from the background as possible, while reducing the distance to the subject. And it is also desirable to photograph with a camera with a large matrix size.

In addition, you may find it difficult to achieve bokeh if your camera has a very short lens focal length. Try moving your subject away from the main background, if possible, or get closer to the subject yourself.

However, all these operations do not guarantee that you will get the exact blur you want to see. Inexpensive cameras are usually equipped with software sharpening, which turns on every time you shoot, and it is this amplification that can negate all your attempts. It is best to use Photoshop to edit an existing photo.

It will take you only a few minutes to create a blurred background in Photoshop - select the main object of the photo with any selection tool (Pen, Quick Mask, Lasso Tool), and then copy the selection to a new layer. Apply Gaussian Blur to the previous background layer with a suitable blur radius.
