In order to depict a fairy, it is necessary to combine the body of a girl and the wings of a butterfly in one drawing and take into account where the fairytale heroine lives - near a lake, in a forest or in a valley. The drawing of the details of the picture, the position of the arms and legs depends on this.

Step 1
Start drawing with a picture of an ordinary girl. Do not press down on the pencil to make the outlines light and weightless.
Step 2
Draw the body of the fairy. Usually, these fairy-tale heroines are portrayed as thin and without magnificent forms. Make the ribcage of the fairy narrow and elongated, the waist should be present, but the silhouette should not look like an hourglass.
Step 3
Draw the hands. They can be divorced, or folded in any gesture. In any case, a special grace is inherent in the movements of the fairy, reflect this in the drawing. You can use the standard ballerinas' arm positions as an example, but don't make them too muscular. Draw long fingers, they should not be tense.
Step 4
Draw the contours of the legs of the fairytale heroine, they should be thin and long, do not make the feet bulky. Your fairy can wear flat shoes, or walk barefoot. Respect the proportions of the body, despite the elongation of the limbs, the length of the arms and legs should correspond to each other.
Step 5
Draw thin lines for the long neck. Draw a small head. Fairy hair shouldn't be straight, but lush curls won't suit her either. The best option is flowing wavy curls. They can be pulled together or left loose.
Step 6
Give your facial features a serenity. If you are drawing a forest fairy of elven descent, sharpen the top of the ears. Select the lips with a thin line, make the eyebrows thin.
Step 7
Start drawing the details. Dress your fairy in a dress made of lightweight material, choose the length you like. Decorate your robe and hair with flowers.
Step 8
Complete the drawing with butterfly wings behind the fairy's back. They should be appropriate for the size of the image, not tiny or too heavy. Draw an ornament on the wings, highlight the dark and light areas.
