When illustrating fairy tales, animals must be endowed with special expressiveness and character. To do this, exaggerate some of the character's traits. The mouth of the wolf, reflecting its predatory essence, do more than that of a real beast. Draw the bear very massive, with huge paws. The hare is a cute animal that everyone strives to offend. Try to draw big naive eyes on the cute face of the animal.

You can “humanize” the animals as much as possible - put them vertically on their hind legs, draw clothes (a folk costume with a corresponding painting).

When depicting people, also try to make their character and role in the fairy tale visible and understandable from the illustration. Kind and positive heroes - with a wide smile, evil and negative characters - with tightly compressed lips.
