To draw a magic castle, you need to imagine who will be its inhabitant, because in different fairy tales and epics, beautiful princesses, elves, enchanted monsters lived in palaces. Therefore, the appearance of the castle must correspond to the owner and his habits and needs.
Instructions
Step 1
Draw the walls guarding the inhabitants of the fairytale castle. They must be high enough. Decorate the upper edge of the walls in the form of teeth, draw small vertically elongated windows in them. Depict brickwork on the walls, cracks in the plaster, if your castle is from a very old fairy tale.
Step 2
Surround the fairytale castle with a moat. Throw a bridge across the moat, depict the gate leading behind the fortress wall. Decorate the gate arch with large stone blocks. To the bridge over the moat, draw a road through the fields and vineyards. The gate to the castle can be drawn open, and the entrance can be fenced off with bars. On both sides of the gate, hang large canvases depicting the coat of arms or the symbol of a fabulous country.
Step 3
Draw the towers behind the fortress wall. They can be of different heights, have a cylinder or parallelepiped at the base, and even be inclined. The arrangement of the towers within the space of the fortress walls can be symmetrical about the line of the central gate, or it can be chaotic. Draw high lancet roofs on the turrets. They can be made faceted or twisted, tiled. Draw high spiers on the roofs with long flags and weather vane on them. Make sure they are facing in the same direction. Crown one or two buildings with long gable roofs that have an isosceles triangle in cross section.
Step 4
Draw lots of windows on buildings and towers. Accentuate the arched shape of the windows with masonry. Decorate walls and roofs with bas-reliefs, gargoyles, mosaics. If the gate to the castle is open, draw carts and carts driving in. Complete the drawing with small details to make the castle more realistic. Draw ivy wrapping around one of the turrets, a curtain caught in the wind, and a clock under one of the rooftops showing noon.
