Step 1
Prepare all the necessary materials: paints, brushes, sketchbook. Drawing lessons are best done at a wide table. Let nothing bother the baby, so he will have less chance of knocking over paints or a glass of water. Make sure that the light falls on the album from the left, as when writing.
Step 2
If you are not going to bathe the child after class and wash all his clothes from paint, it is better to suggest that the child, as a real artist, put on an apron and arm ruffles.
Step 3
Sit next to your child and show you how to handle the brush correctly. Pay attention to the fact that brushes of different numbers differ in the thickness of the pile. Teach you how to dip a brush in paint, how to wash and wipe it off after work. Draw lines of different thicknesses with it. Tell us what paints are. Teach your child not only to name their types, but also to understand how they differ.
Step 4
Do not use thin paper sheets for the first lessons. They get wet very quickly from the paint. Choose thick drawing paper or special watercolor sheets. Such sheets can be moistened with water and paint gently on them. This technique is very impressive for little artists at first.
Step 5
Tell your baby about warm and cold shades. Teach paint mixing. Try mixing primary colors to create new shades.
Step 6
Let the first works of the child be the simplest. Gradually complicate tasks. Let the child learn not only to fill in fragments of the drawing with one paint, but also to work with shades and smooth color transitions.
Step 7
The work done by the baby should be saved. Add the date on the pictures, come up with a name for each masterpiece. This will allow the kid to visually see how his skill level changes later.
