One of the most popular dog breeds is the German Shepherd. He is a reliable friend, moderately serious and playful, and also a wonderful watchman. She has an incredibly smart face with a humanly wise and a little sad look. The color of the dog can range from completely black to gray. The most spectacular and widespread is the black-and-brown (black and red): black back and nose of the muzzle, red markings on the sides, red paws, around the eyes and ears - a red mask. Sheepdog has a thick coat, longer on the neck, upper legs and tail.

Step 1
Place the sheet of paper horizontally as the Shepherd has a horizontal silhouette. Determine the boundaries of the drawing on the sheet. Start drawing the German Shepherd Dog from the shoulder area, which is located in the center of its torso: draw a construction circle.
Step 2
Then, around the first, draw a second circle, more elongated and slightly larger in diameter. The second circle will be the base of the shepherd's chest. These circles have a common point on the outside - on the sternum.
Step 3
Next to these circles, on one horizontal axis, draw another circle about half the diameter of the second, in place of the future dog's croup. When drawing circles on paper, look closely at the image of a real dog and try to convey the proportional ratios of its parts.
Step 4
Now outline the location and size of the head by drawing another circle in place of the head. Draw a tall triangle at the top - German Shepherds have rather large, triangular, erect ears.
Draw an elongated nose and lower jaw about the middle of this circle from the side. The nose is larger and wider than the dog's lower jaw.
Step 5
Under the sketched body and head, mark the location of the German Shepherd's paws in small circles. Place the front legs together and let the hind legs spread apart in stride.
Step 6
When all the preparatory moments are completed, proceed to drawing the outline of the dog. Drawing on the blank circles and other outlined details, draw lines connecting the head, torso and legs of the shepherd dog together. Note that the hind legs of the shepherd, like any dog, bend at the knee joints in the opposite direction.
Step 7
Try to accurately convey the dog's face - small eyes and a wide black nose. Draw the tail of the shepherd dog, make the neck and back more furry, with strokes depicting the texture of the coat. Add fur to the tops of the legs.
Step 8
Use colored pencils, crayons or pastels to give the dog its characteristic black and red color. Place the strokes along the growth of the shepherd's coat. The size of the strokes is commensurate with the length of the coat on various parts of the dog's body.
When coloring, use not only black and yellow-orange colors. Glare on black wool can be depicted with blue, gray and white colors, in places where one color passes into another, mix these colors so that the transition boundaries look natural.
