An attractive annual, very similar to chamomile, but distinguished by an amazing and bright color. The homeland of gatsania is Africa, but it is successfully conquering Russian flower beds, and this is not surprising: its beauty, unpretentiousness and ease of growing make it a welcome guest on any flower bed.

Step 1
Sowing terms and technology
Gatsania seedlings are sown from February to mid-March.
Take a planting container and fill it with soil; you can use a ready-made universal soil mixture for flower seedlings or prepare it yourself: mix garden soil, peat and sand in a ratio of 1: 0, 5: 0, 5.
You can sow peat pellets with gats.
Step 2
Remove the seeds from the packaging.
When sowing in a common planting container, the sequence of actions is as follows: fill containers with soil, compact it and moisten it from a sprayer. Spread out the seeds and cover with soil.
When using peat tablets, proceed as follows: fill the tablets with water and wait until they swell; place the seed in the recess and cover it with earth on top; it is convenient to put seeds into a tablet with a toothpick.
To create a greenhouse effect and accelerate seed germination, cover the planting containers with foil, glass or plastic bag.
Step 3
Seedling care
Place containers with gatsania crops in a bright place and wait for shoots.
Gatsaniya sprouts within 5-14 days, seed germination is quite high.
Do not forget to remove the shelter daily and air the plantings for 20-30 minutes.
As soon as shoots appear, remove the shelter.
Watering is required in moderation, along the edge of the planting tank, or bottom watering can be used.
Step 4
Gatsania pick
When two true leaves grow at the seedlings, they can be dived into separate cups.
Water the seedlings before picking to facilitate extraction from the ground.
Remove the seedlings with a small spoon, try not to damage the root system.
Fill the cups with earth, make a depression in the center and place a sprout in it, sprinkle with soil and water.
Shade the seedlings for several days.
In 14 days after picking, feed the seedlings with complex mineral fertilizer.
Step 5
Landing in open ground and care of gatsania
Plant in open ground when the threat of return frost has passed.
Choose a sunny place for planting, without stagnant water.
Dig up the soil, add sand and humus if necessary.
Planted at a distance of 20 cm from each other.
Care consists in watering, weeding, gentle loosening of the soil and top dressing. They are fed every two weeks with a complex mineral fertilizer.
