Cold porcelain is most often used to make flowers that look strikingly real. It is a very pliable material that gains strength and hardness after air drying.
It is necessary
- - PVA glue marked D2, D3 - 1 cup
- - cornstarch - 1 cup
- - glycerin - 1 tsp
- - lemon juice - 1 tbsp. spoon (or a couple of drops of vinegar)
- - baby oil - 1 tablespoon
- - hand cream
- - petroleum jelly
Instructions
Step 1
Measure out PVA glue with a cup and pour it into a saucepan.
Step 2
Add glycerin, oil and lemon juice there. Mix everything until smooth.
Step 3
Measure out the cornstarch with the same cup and gradually add it to the liquid mixture. Leave it on for 10 minutes.
Step 4
Place the saucepan over low heat and stir continuously with a wooden or silicone spatula. When the mass begins to lag behind the walls and knocks into one lump around the blade, turn off the stove.
Step 5
On a flat surface (for example, a cutting board wrapped in cling film), spread the resulting lump of mass and knead it with greased hands. When you have a ball of uniform density with a viscous structure, cold porcelain is ready.
Step 6
Lubricate the cling film with petroleum jelly and put a ball of cold porcelain there. Leave it at room temperature overnight. The cold porcelain can then be used.
Step 7
To obtain color, divide cold porcelain into several parts, add dye to each and knead thoroughly.
