Rubber slippers-slates from beach shoes became urban. Most of us have these slippers that are so comfortable to walk in in the heat.
Let's make slates unusual, with our own hands and from scrap materials.
You will need very few materials, most likely you will not even have to buy anything, because there are probably pieces of ribbons, a few bright beads, multi-colored threads lying around in every house. In order for all this to hold, you will need more glue (you can take any glue, but pay attention that it is indicated on the tube that it can be used to glue rubber).
1. We coat the slate membrane with glue and, until the glue has dried, we wrap the slate membrane with an overlap tape from left to right (well, or from right to left). After that, let it dry. If the tape comes off, then apply a thin stick to grease those places where there was not enough glue.
2. Making brushes (or pompons). On the thread with which the tassel is tied, we string several beads.
The photo uses imitation pearls, but you can use beads in a different color and shape, depending on the outfit with which you plan to wear the slates.
3. Sew the beaded tassels to the ribbon.
When securing the thread, hide the ends between the layers of the tape. If necessary, glue the thread to the tape.
In the process, pay special attention to the arrangement of tassels and beads on the slates, so that it does not seem that you are wearing slippers from different pairs.
4. Don't be limited to one pair of slates, decorate another in a different color and style.
In this way you can make "designer" slates as a present for your friend or relative.
Advice: It is better to take a satin ribbon than a nylon ribbon.
