Instructions
Step 1
Take tobacco leaves. Tie them in pairs and hang them on a string in a dark, well-ventilated area. Keep in this state for at least three weeks.

The tobacco must be fermented. In large tobacco farms, tobacco leaves are usually stacked for the first fermentation in piles about a meter high and placed in a dark room. But you hardly need that much tobacco, so the other way is more appropriate. Place the leaves carefully in a plastic bag. Tie the bag tightly and place in the dark. Leaves turn from green to yellow-brown.
Step 3
Finely chop the leaves with a sharp knife. Cover the baking sheet with a piece of paper. Sprinkle the tobacco in a thin layer and place in the oven to dry. It is necessary to dry tobacco at a temperature not exceeding 100 °. The tobacco should darken, but not burn. The smoking tobacco is ready. It is better to store tobacco in china or in a cotton bag.
Step 4
Hookah tobacco requires a second fermentation. Cut the tobacco so that the pieces are no more than 5 mm. A manual coffee grinder can be used for this purpose. Prepare sugar or fruit syrup in a 1: 1 weight ratio. Pour tobacco into it and refrigerate for 24 hours. When the tobacco has absorbed the liquid, drain the excess moisture through cheesecloth. Add honey until the optimum consistency is achieved, spread the mixture in a thin layer on a porcelain dish and dry for 24 hours. Add a few drops of glycerin and roll the mixture into a ball. It is necessary to store the resulting mixture in an airtight container.
