Cups are made from various materials - metal, glass, wood, etc. But you can also make them from what is always at hand. For example, with the help of a plastic bottle and the papier-mâché technique familiar from childhood.
It is necessary
- plastic bottle
- cardboard
- paper or newspaper
- PVA glue
- acrylic paint
Instructions
Step 1
Take a plastic bottle and cut off about a third of the top from it.
Cut a circle 6-7 cm in diameter out of ordinary cardboard and attach it to the neck of the bottle with masking tape.
Step 2
Apply pieces of paper or newspaper to the workpiece in several layers, smearing them with PVA glue or some other glue (approx. Their recipes, as well as other papier-mâché techniques can be found on the Internet). To prevent the mass from sticking to your hands, periodically moisten them with water.
Wait until the mass is completely dry.
Step 3
Level the product by carefully cutting the edges and sanding it with sandpaper.
Prime the product by applying thin layers of primer. Wait for each coat to dry before applying the next.
Step 4
Cover the item with metallic acrylic paint.
Decorate the goblet with rhinestones, beads or other decorative items, depending on your imagination. Attach them with super glue.
