A mobile phone case is more than just a means of protecting your device from accidental drops, chips and scratches. It is also an indispensable accessory that emphasizes the style and personality of its wearer.
It is necessary
- - material for the outer surface of the cover;
- - lining material;
- - decorative elements - beads, lurex, rhinestones, embroidery threads, ribbons.
- - decorative cord or plait;
- - threads of the corresponding color;
- - a needle.
Instructions
Step 1
Take measurements from your phone. Place it on a piece of paper and circle it. Add on each side of the contour from 0.5 to 1.5 cm, depending on the thickness of the phone.
Step 2
Transfer the cover pattern to the fabric for the outside and inside of the cover. Cut two pieces out of each fabric, do not forget about the seam allowances. Use a thick fabric such as denim, tweed or fine leather for the outer layer of the cover. The lining can be cut out of cotton jersey.
Step 3
Decorate one of the case details. You can embroider an ornament on it with a cross, satin stitch, apply a pattern with special paints on the fabric, or embroider with beads or ribbons. Alternatively, you can use ready-made embroidered fabric or cut out a blank from an old item.
Step 4
Fold in pairs one piece of the lining and one piece of the outside of the cover with the right side inward and put a seam around the perimeter, leaving a small hole. Turn out the part through it, straighten the edges, sew with a blind seam. Iron half of the cover. Do the operation with the second half.
Step 5
Place the pieces on top of each other with the backing side inward. Sew them together with small blind stitches, remember to leave a hole so the phone can easily fit inside.
Step 6
Use a decorative cord to decorate your case, such as a rhinestone ribbon or twisted cord. Sew it around the perimeter of the product, starting from the bottom center point. Such a cord will allow you to hide minor errors and the place through which the parts were turned inside out. Use it to create a ribbon to hang around your neck.
Step 7
Sew the flap fastener to the top of the cover. To do this, cut out a small strip from the main material, sew it along the length, process the edges. Fix one end on the back of the cover, and sew a button on the inside of the second. You can also place a small flat magnet in the flip buckle and in the cavity of the front of the case.
