Tiles with decorative patterns for wall decoration are expensive and it is not always possible to choose the picture that you want to see for a long time in front of your eyes in a renewed interior. With the help of acrylic paints, you can make a drawing on a tile yourself. For creativity, not only new tiles are suitable, but also those already glued to the wall. Modern acrylic paints for ceramics do not need to be baked in the oven. They adhere perfectly to the surface of the product. The drawing can be washed with a soft sponge without the use of abrasive products.
It is necessary
- - acrylic paints for ceramics;
- - brushes;
- - foam sponge;
- - a glass of water;
- - stencil or picture;
- - scotch tape;
- - dishwashing liquid;
- - matches;
- - wooden skewers.
Instructions
Step 1
Wash the tiles under the tap with dishwashing liquid. If the tile is already attached to the wall, then it can be wiped with a cotton pad dipped in vodka. Blot the drops with a soft cloth. The drawing surface must be dry.
Step 2
Place the loose tiles on the table and prepare your painting tools. Choose a large water glass to rinse the acrylic off the tool well. The paint dries quickly. Simply dipping the brush into the water will not rinse the fluff out.
Step 3
Tiles already glued to the wall require separate preparation. You need to protect the grout and surrounding surfaces from accidental paint splashes. Attach regular newspaper around the tile with masking tape. Have a wet cloth next to you. Fresh drops of acrylic paint can be easily removed with plain water.
Step 4
Prepare the drawing that you are going to transfer to the tile. It can be a ready-made stencil or a stencil printed from the Internet, a postcard or a picture from a magazine. If you can draw, sketch on paper. Secure the stencil on the tile with tape so that the picture does not move.
Step 5
Apply the image to the tile. When working with a stencil, do not take a lot of paint on a brush or sponge so that there are no smudges. Do not remove the template until the entire drawing is transferred to the tile. Remove individual unnecessary drops or other blots with a wooden end of a match or a skewer. The paint is well scraped off, and there will be no scratches on the glossy surface of the tile.
Step 6
Let the product dry completely. The decorative tiles are ready to use.
