Step 1
Thoroughly wash all tiles you will be decorating with a brush and detergent. The tiles should be free of any dirt and grease. You can even wipe it with alcohol or vodka, wipe it dry. Ceramic tiles are more difficult to paint because they are smooth. Therefore, rub it with silicon carbide paper. This will make the tiles a little roughened and the paint will adhere better. Cover the tile with a primer, in this case it will be the basis for the future image.
Step 2
The easiest way is to use a special stencil. It must be moistened with water and applied to the tile. For a more secure hold, use spray adhesive. Now just paint over the blank areas of the template with acrylic or ceramic and glass paint. But remember that acrylic paints become darker after drying, moreover, they dry very quickly. Therefore, brushes must be rinsed quickly and thoroughly.
Step 3
Spray paint can only be used for stencil painting. If you plan to make the drawing multi-colored, first paint the ornament with dark paint, and only after that complete the light fragments. You need to apply a little paint to the brush so that it does not spread. It is desirable to hold the brush perpendicular to the tile. The tile is painted with point movements of the hand with a brush. If you hold the brush vertically, there is a chance that the paint will flow under the stencil.
Step 4
If the paint does run out or penetrate the stencil, the drips can be removed with a cotton swab. But this must be done as soon as the error was noticed, otherwise the paint will be difficult to remove. The stick does not leave any marks and does not scratch the surface of the tile, and the paint that has not yet had time to harden can be easily removed. When you've painted everything, remove the stencil. In the event that you glued it with aerosol glue, lightly dip a rag in gasoline for a ZIPO lighter and wipe the empty areas of the tile with light movements. Cover the entire composition with varnish.
