How to make a panel of salt dough

It is necessary

  • - base - fiberboard, cardboard, etc.
  • - salty dough:
  • - flour - 2 cups
  • - water - 3/4 cup
  • - salt - 1 cup
  • - acrylic paints
  • - scraps of fabric, paper, gauze - for decoration
  • - stacks
  • - PVA glue
  • - toilet paper or napkins
  • - rag

Instructions

Step 1

Dissolve the salt in warm water, add flour and make a soft dough. It can be wrapped with cling film to prevent weathering.

Step 2

Cut the selected base material for the panel to size, in accordance with the idea.

For example, let's cut out a 16 x 30 cm rectangle from a fiberboard sheet.

Sand the edges so that they are smooth.

Apply a layer of glue over the entire surface of the cut-out rectangle. Put a piece of gauze a little larger than the base. Blot with a cloth to adhere the gauze and remove excess glue. Glue a sheet of paper by cutting it to the size of the base.

Step 3

Sculpt figures from salt dough.

Sun. The diameter of the figure is 4 cm. Form a cake 1 cm thick from the salt dough. Using a stack, pressing the edges, make rays, with a stack or a needle, draw a sun's eyes and a smile.

Step 5

House. The size of the figurine is 9 x 5 cm. The figurine is prefabricated and consists of several elements.

Roll out the salted dough with a thickness of 0.3 - 0.5 cm.

Cut rectangles with dimensions: 6 x 4 cm, 4 x 3 cm, 3 x 2 cm, 2 x 1 cm, 1 x 0.5 cm - 5 pieces, 1.5 x 1 cm.

Cut out triangles with a base of 2, 5, 3 and 4 cm.

Putting together the house. Place a 6 x 4 cm rectangle vertically on the plank. At the top, unevenly fix a triangle with a base of 4 cm, stretching and bending it, giving a fabulous shape. Attach a pipe, molded from a rectangle measuring 2 x 1 cm. Put rectangles 4 x 3 and 3 x 2 cm on a large rectangle, lubricating the surface with water. Place roofs of triangles of appropriate sizes on them. Strengthen the pipes, and from the remaining rectangles make the windows of the house. Glue with water.

Stick the figures with PVA glue on the prepared base. Color the figures and the background according to your mood. Dry.
