Over the long history of its existence, the tram has become not only a convenient means of transportation, but also a favorite motive in the work of "urban" artists. Depicting a tram is not technically difficult - the lines are mostly straight and obey the well-known laws of perspective, it is much more difficult to breathe life into an urban picture. Let's try to draw a tram that moves through the city.
It is necessary
pencil, sheet of paper
Instructions
Step 1
First, identify the tram with some geometric figure. Of course, it will be a parallelepiped.
Step 2
The image should be three-dimensional, so draw it from the foreshortening, when you can see its two sides - the side and the front. The front will be of the correct rectangular shape with a smaller base. Determine the vanishing point, it will be shifted to the side. To do this, you will need to determine the direction of the tram rails, that is, the trajectory along which it moves and the angle of inclination in relation to the drawn rectangle.
Step 3
Draw a ray from the bottom left corner of the shape at an angle. Look at the drawing and place a point at the level where you think your eye level is. Draw a horizontal line and put a point at the intersection with the ray. This is the vanishing point. Now draw a line from the upper left corner of the rectangle to the vanishing point. You have marked the direction of the tram car.
Step 4
Draw a straight vertical line to indicate the length of the carriage. Divide the body of the workpiece exactly in half. At the end of the side section from the center to both sides, draw segments at an angle of 20-30 degrees to create a natural shape for the carriage. Remove sharp corners.
Step 5
Draw the front part as well - the cockpit. Do not make the angle too large, it will distort the tram. The cut of the outer side of the car should go into the area of the rectangle, and the one closest to you should go into the area of the tram body. Stiffening ribs appeared on the tram.
Step 6
Step back a little from the top, draw a straight line parallel to the roof of the car. This is the line of windows. A stiffener will mark the bottom of the window. Use horizontal lines to mark the three tram doors. Their height is equal to the level of the windows. Mark the doors more clearly and circle the windows on the remaining surfaces. Round the corners with small, curved lines. Draw square wheel notches between the doors - two in total. Draw the wheels.
Step 7
In the area of the roof, closer to the cabin, draw two parallel diamonds with a recessed point inside the tram. This is a pantograph.
Step 8
Place the decor on the resulting sketch. Draw the headlights in front, mark the bumper. At the end of the drawing, remove all construction lines.
