Late in the evening, you suddenly remember that you will need 3D or sunglasses tomorrow. The shops are already closed, but there are probably unnecessary things at home, from which, if desired, you can build something suitable.

It is necessary

  • Plastic transparent disc box or any other piece of thin transparent plastic
  • thick paper or cardboard
  • Universal adhesive
  • Blue and red marker for 3D glasses or any dark marker for sunglasses
  • For design - water-based paint, gouache and varnish
  • Ruler
  • Tape measure
  • Compass
  • Saucepan with hot water
  • Scissors
  • Piece of gum

Instructions

Step 1

Determine the size of the frames by measuring the width of your face along the brow line. Draw a straight line on thin paper. Divide it in half and set aside the length of the jumper from the middle to one side and the other. Draw the half of the frame in the shape you want. Draw the second in a mirror image. Cut out the mold and fold it in half across. Align the halves of the frames and trim them where you want them to be the same.

Step 2

Mark the place for the glasses. This can also be done first on one half, then cut and circle a hole on the other half of the frame. The glasses are ovals. Try to cut them straight, then you will have a piece that can be transferred to plastic.

Step 3

Take the box from under the disc and break off the cover from it. For glasses, this will be enough. Draw the outlines of the glasses on the plastic. To prevent them from rubbing off, they can be scratched with a thin needle. Just do not forget that the glasses should be slightly larger than the pattern, because they will need to be glued.

Step 4

Heat the water and lower the lid there for a few minutes. Cut out the glass with scissors. Color them in whatever colors you need.

Step 5

Make a frame out of thick paper. For strength, cut four identical pieces and glue them in pairs. If you wish, you can decorate the outer part of the frame. To do this, cover it with a water-based emulsion and let it dry. Then paint with gouache and varnish.

Step 6

Glue the glasses. Stick them on the back half of the frame first, then apply the front half. The glasses should be glued between the paper parts. Attach an elastic band.
