Having remembered the emotions that arose when watching a movie or cartoon in a 3D cinema, you may want to have 3D at home. But this requires the purchase of expensive 3D TVs and 3D glasses. But there is an option for viewing 3D photos / videos on a regular monitor, these are the so-called anaglyph 3D glasses, which are much cheaper, but you can make them yourself.
It is necessary
- - Frame from plastic glasses (or cardboard)
- - Transparent film from the badge (or transparent plastic)
- - Markers of red and blue colors
- - Glue
Instructions
Step 1
You need to choose a frame. If you have old, unnecessary sunglasses, you can take them. If there are none, you can make a frame from thick cardboard. You can find a pattern for a homemade frame on the Internet.
Step 2
Now you need to make the lenses. The lens material can be white transparent plastic or badge film. If you have used a plastic frame (from sunglasses), then you will need to cut the same lenses (size and shape) from the lens material of your choice. If you used a cardboard frame, then the lenses should be slightly larger than the slots in the frame (so that the lenses can be glued to the frame)
Step 3
Having decided on the frame and making the lenses, you need to paint them. You can use markers for this. Anaglyph glasses come in different colors: red-blue, yellow-green. I recommend making red and blue glasses, because This is the most common type of anaglyph glasses, under which photos and videos are taken in the first place. But when making such 3D glasses, it should be borne in mind that each color belongs to its own eye. In this case, red is for the left eye and blue is for the right.
Step 4
The final step in our work is to insert (glue) the lenses into the frame. Now you can start watching 3D movies or cartoons!
Step 5
A bit of information on how cardboard glasses differ from plastic ones. The fact is that glasses made in plastic frames are more durable, while cardboard ones wrinkle and break very quickly. Sweat may also appear on your face when watching 3D. This is especially true when viewing 3D for the first time.
