Elegant and lush flowers can be an excellent decoration for both hairstyles and clothes, as well as be an independent accessory - a brooch or a handbag decoration. The flower will add a touch of romance and femininity to your image, make you more mysterious and original. Making a flower with your own hands from a satin or nylon ribbon is not difficult at all. Using ribbons from different materials with different textures, you can create a wide variety of folded roses.

Instructions

Step 1

Take a ribbon with a length of 30 to 50 cm and a width of 4 cm. When folding, hold the ribbon so that the edges of the future rose are on the same level. Bend the right edge of the tape towards you, forming a right angle with the edge of the tape.

Step 2

Then fold the ribbon across the previous fold and wrap it around the fold several times - five to six turns are enough to form the center of the future rose. Sew the center curl with thread and a needle. Now on the left side, fold the ribbon back at a right angle and tilt the center of the flower.

Step 3

Twist the center over the diagonal crease of the folded tape. Fold back the ribbon on the left side and twist it together with a fold around the flower. Do not tighten the tape too tight on the revs - for the petals to be lush, they must lie freely, and there must be air between them.

Step 4

Secure the petals with a thread and a needle so that the structure does not fall apart. Continue bending and twisting the ribbon in the same way until it runs out or until your flower is the size you want. For a medium rose, it is enough to repeat the revolutions two or three times, and for a large rose - six times.

Step 5

Fold the ribbon down slightly, then sew the raw edge to the base of the flower. Cut off the excess part of the tape with scissors and sew the "leg" of the flower to secure the structure. If you sew or glue a wire into the base of the flower, you will get a rose on a stem.
