General repairs include complete disassembly, adjustment, cleaning and lubrication of the mechanism. Usually, general repairs are carried out not so often, but at least once 3-5 years, or in the event of a breakdown. If the clock has stopped or is not working accurately (in a hurry or lagging behind), first you need to determine the cause of the breakdown.

Check the winding mechanism and translation of the hands If you turn the crown away from you, there should be no crackles and extraneous sounds, there should be no slippage. Twisted, now release, the head should not come back.

When you turn the crown towards you, a characteristic sound should be heard.

When translating, the hands should not rotate too easily and not too tightly, but simply with some effort. If this is not the case, then the switch mechanism must be corrected.

Go ahead. Open the case back and notice the look and balance of the movement itself. Consider the stones, they must be clean, no oil. Look closely for signs of corrosion. If the watch is not waterproof, then if moisture gets into it, the winding mechanism and the transfer of the hands will be hit first.

Step 5

Remove the balance bridge and, through a magnifying glass, examine the upper and lower axle of the trunnion, they should not be bent, they should be smooth, shiny, without traces of plaque and corrosion. The coils of the balance spiral should lie in the same plane, not touch, i.e. the spiral must be of the correct shape. If they touch each other or touch the rim, balance bridge, this leads to a significant rush of the watch (an hour or more).
