Educational homemade books for toddlers are very popular. And not without reason, because toys made by the hands of loving mothers or grandmothers not only help the crumbs to learn about the world, but also have a kind energy that children feel subtly. It is homemade "developmental games" that become the most beloved and are able to entertain the child for a long time. Another secret of the popularity of such books is compliance with the needs of a particular child, a non-standard approach, taking into account the characteristics of his personality and interests.

- - a plastic bottle with a lid;
- - polyethylene, rustling cellophane, plastic photo pockets, etc.;
- - wide satin ribbon;
- - ready-made applications with a large pattern;

- - buttons, Velcro, buttons, laces, braid;
- - sewing accessories;
- - sewing machine.
Instructions
Step 1
Think carefully about the size and content of your future book. Determine which pages and with which developing elements it should be. Draw preliminary sketches for the cover and pages of the book.
Step 2
Cut out two pieces of the front cover page. The size of each piece of fabric is equal to the size of the finished book, plus allowances of two centimeters on all sides. This excess goes into the seams and to fit the volumetric foam insert. Cut out the foam piece without any allowances as well.
Step 3
If you are going to embroider or sew on an applique on the cover, do it at this stage. If you are going to use ready-made glue applications, then you can glue them with an iron after stitching the pages.
Step 4
Fold fabric parts right sides and sew on three sides 1 cm from the edge. Turn out, straighten the seams and insert a foam insert inside the "pocket". Make the second page of the book in the same way.
Step 5
Bind with a wide satin ribbon. Cut the tape to a length equal to twice the height of the book plus 2 cm. Fold the tape across in half, insert the blank cover overlays on both sides, and baste them. Tuck the tape allowances inward. Use a typewriter to sew around the satin binding.
Step 6
All other pages of the developing book are also created. Insert a thick synthetic winterizer inside them. Place the finished spreads inside the book and stitch in the center. Pages can be added to the book as needed, if new ideas for "development" appear.
Step 7
On the first page, scribble a sufficiently strong film under which you can place any unfixed figures that move when you shake the book. For example, you can make an aquarium page with fish from silk ribbons laid with padding polyester. And decorate the background with "seaweed" from braid or ribbons.
Step 8
Place some rustling cellophane inside some of the pages - kids love this stuff. Cut rectangles out of it to fit the book and when sewing fabric parts, place cellophane on top of them. Sweep and stitch.
Step 9
Make a page with a bottle neck and a screw cap. Cut off the neck of the bottle. In one of the parts of the page, cut a round hole to fit the diameter of the cover. Sew a page, insert a synthetic winterizer, and place the neck from the inside into the hole. Glue the tape along the cut of the fabric around the neck with a glue gun. Screw on the cover.
