It is quite difficult to draw nature with a simple pencil, but it is also more interesting, since there are no clear geometric shapes and uniform shapes in nature. To correctly convey all the beauty of the landscapes, you need to be as observant as possible.

Step 1
First, you need to choose a composition and outline with simple lines the trees that are in the foreground right in front of you.
Step 2
Further, in more detail and clearly draw the outlines of the trees. Draw large branches and break them into thinner branches. Decide what the background will be. If you can see the horizon line, draw it. Draw texture on the tree trunks. To do this, shade in the darker areas of the bark and transfer the shadows. It is necessary to determine from which side the light falls. To accentuate the foreground, paint the trees in it brighter and darker.
Step 3
Draw in more detail the small branches, snow between the trees and on the bark of the tree. It is interesting to depict one side of the trunk and large branches heavily covered with snow. Snow also has texture and volume, so add some shadow where it touches the bark of the tree. Draw low mountains on the horizon. Reflect bumps and relief with a shadow.
Step 4
Draw the surface of the ground, covered with snow, on which the trees are located. Shade low-lying areas with a pencil. Pay special attention to working out the shadows falling from the trees and branches themselves. It is necessary to correctly estimate the angle of incidence of the shadow. To depict the shadow, first draw an identical outline of your tree and branches, then shade with light, close lines. The shadow from thin branches should be practically invisible.
Step 5
Draw a bird's nest on one of the trees. Note that it must also be covered with snow. Darken the snow-covered recess in the nest slightly. The winter nature image is ready.
