It is necessary

  • - plastic / cardboard
  • - scraps of fabric
  • - batting / synthetic winterizer
  • - scotch tape
  • - glue
  • -buttons, Velcro, appliques

Instructions

Step 1

To sew a dollhouse, take thin perforated plastic or cardboard for a light but strong frame, a variety of scraps of fabric, batting or synthetic winterizer, tape, glue, as well as a variety of buttons, Velcro and appliques.

Step 2

Cut out three 16x10 cm rectangles and two 16x7 cm rectangles from the frame sheets. Then cut out the sides of the house with a square base and a triangular top - the base should be 10 cm, and the roof angle should be 90 degrees. The length of the roof slopes is 7 cm.

Step 3

Wrap the frame parts with padding polyester and fix it on the plastic with glue or tape. Now choose which fabric is suitable for the roof, which for the exterior walls, and which for the sheathing of the interior walls. Choose bright and colorful fabrics in a variety of colors.

Step 4

Cut out the corresponding patterns from different cuts of fabric according to the patterns of the frame, taking into account 1.5 cm for hem and stitching. Each side of the frame corresponds to two pieces of fabric - for the inner and outer side.

Step 5

Fold two identical cuts of different colors together and sew them on the wrong side. Leaving the bottom open, turn the product inside out and insert the frame with insulation inside. Repeat this step for each part of the frame.

Step 6

After all the walls of the house are sheathed, start sewing the walls together. The house should be folding, so sew the parts together in the form of a house pattern laid out for assembly. To keep all the walls together when raised, sew Velcro or buttons to them.

Step 7

Decorate the house with appliques, colored buttons, a beautiful and comfortable carrying handle - and your fabric dollhouse is ready.
