Today, gypsum is used in both entertainment and construction and renovation. Unlike plasticine, gypsum, having the same softness, retains its shape when solidified, which makes it an ideal material for making casts or figurines. But in order to make something out of it, you need to prepare it in a special way for modeling.
It is necessary
plaster of paris, clean water in a jar, small basin, wooden spatula or tablespoon
Instructions
Step 1
Take a basin and fill it halfway with water. After that, gradually start pouring plaster into it. You need to pour in small portions, waiting for the previous one to be at the bottom by the time the next portion of gypsum is poured. In this way, pour until a small island appears above the water.
Step 2
Now take a wooden spatula or a tablespoon in your hands (which is more convenient or accessible to someone) and start quickly stirring the gypsum in water, making sure that there are no lumps left (which is convenient to crush with a spoon and immediately stir with the rest of the mass). Stir until sour cream. If the mass you have turned out to be too liquid, add a little more gypsum to it, if, on the contrary, it is too thick, add a little water to it.
Step 3
After preparing this solution, gypsum can be used. However, remember that after 20-30 minutes it will harden, and before that lumps will begin to form in it, so it is best to use a gypsum solution immediately after mixing it.
