The air in apartments, especially during the heating season, is often excessively dry and stuffy. You can use a variety of store-bought moisturizers to moisturize. But there is one device that can provide both humid air and a cozy atmosphere in a room - a home waterfall. It is quite possible to make it yourself, using the materials at hand.

It is necessary

  • - 5 liter bottle for mineral water;
  • - pump pump (you can use a pump for aquariums);
  • - plastic cake packaging of a suitable size;
  • - polyurethane foam;
  • - "liquid Nails";
  • - paint in an aerosol can;
  • - natural or artificial stones, shells;
  • - artificial plants or trees.

Instructions

Step 1

Make a reservoir for the bottom of the pond using a mineral water bottle. Cut the bottom of the bottle so that its height is 6-10 cm. Glue it to the base - a plastic tray from the cake packaging.

Step 2

Make a relief for the future waterfall. To do this, completely cover the base with polyurethane foam so that the resulting layer is at the level of the lower tank. After 3-4 hours, when the foam layer has hardened, create a small slide that will become a channel for your waterfall. The optimal height of this slide is 16-20 cm.

Step 3

Place the pump in the lower reservoir and pipe it to the top of the slide. At the top, make a small pool for water accumulation, into which put the end of the hose from the pump. Lay out the slope of the waterfall with pebbles, coat the waterfall bed and the seams between the stones with liquid nails.

Step 4

Check the operation of the waterfall: pour water into the lower tank and turn on the pump. The water rises into the upper reservoir (lake) and begins to flow back down the pebbles. Use liquid nails to form several grooves along which streams of water will flow.

Step 5

Make a pallet. To do this, cut off the plastic lid from the cake from which you took the tray for the base of the waterfall. Paint over the lid with paint from a can, if you wish, you can draw any patterns. Place the waterfall in the pallet.

Step 6

Decorate the resulting waterfall with pebbles and shells all over the surface. A small artificial tree or flower, fixed on a stone slide, looks amazing. Color the pebbles or highlight them if desired.
