The most magnificent element in nature is water. There is nothing more soothing than the rhythmic sound of waves beating against the shore, or the gentle gentle swaying of a small stream. Let's draw a waterfall.

It is necessary

  • - paper;
  • - gouache;
  • - brushes;
  • - palette.

Instructions

Step 1

Gouache is a little easier to paint than watercolors. If something does not work out, then you can fix it, since the gouache colors fit well on each other. Prepare a set of brushes, paints, a glass of clean water and paper. Don't forget the palette. On it you will mix paints. If you don't have a palette, you can use it on thick white cardboard.

Step 2

Place the waterfall in the center of the compositions. First, use small strokes along the rows with a brush to draw rounded vertical strokes, alternating white and blue colors one after another. Make sure that the gouache is not dry. Then blend the vertical strokes gently with a brush. Do not mix everything until a uniform color, and do not leave visible blue streaks. Let the transparency of the white paint be smooth and visible in places. Do not paint over the entire sheet of paper, leave both edges of the sheet white (Figure 1).

Step 3

Use wide strokes to draw boiling water at the bottom of the waterfall. Try to overlay white with strokes on top of the dark blue, gently mixing them in places. Just so that there is no clean, white sheet of paper left. When the waterfall pours down, then from the blows with the water, the spray is flying in all directions. Take a hard brush and dip the tip of the brush into white paint. With your index finger, hitting the tip of the brush, get a splatter (Figure 2).

Step 4

On both sides of the waterfall, draw earth and stones. Paint the ground with green, brown and ocher paint. You can add colors one by one, or you can immediately mix in the palette. Draw a blue sky over the waterfall. To do this, mix blue and white paints. Apply in horizontal lines and let dry. Then paint some clouds with white paint. Further, at the top of the waterfall, we will draw a forest. Mix green paint with white paint and add a little blue to make the shade different from the sky, draw a vertical strip of forest (Figure 3).
