Every florist knows that just watering indoor plants is not enough. They also really need feeding. For this, ready-made fertilizers are now sold in stores, but you don't need to spend money on chemistry, since you can use natural fertilizers that surround us every day. There are several types of natural dressings for your attention.
Instructions
Step 1
Banana dressing
Finely chop the banana peel and dry it. You can spread this fertilizer in a layer during transplanting, or simply mix with the soil.
There is also another way. Grind the dried chopped peel in a coffee grinder until a brown powder is obtained. You can add it to the pot before watering the plant, or you can dilute it with water and use it as a liquid top dressing.
Banana dressing is good for flowering plants. Bananas contain potassium, which is essential for flowering.
Step 2
Sugar dressing
There are two ways to feed flowers with sugar: 1) sprinkle a teaspoon of sugar evenly on the surface of the ground before watering; 2) dissolve two teaspoons of sugar in a glass of water. This feeding should be done once a week.
Step 3
Tooth powder feeding
Plants often have problems with the root system. Root rot appears from drafts and cold watering. This often happens during the cold season. To avoid such problems, use tooth powder and prepare fertilizer: for half a glass of water, 2 tbsp. l. tooth powder, 1 tbsp. l. copper sulfate and 2 tbsp. l. wood ash. Mix everything thoroughly. Move the ground away from the root and moisten the stem with this solution. After that, remove the plant to a dry place and do not water for a week.
Step 4
Top dressing from potato broth
Plants are very fond of starch. Therefore, when you cook potatoes, pour the broth from it into a separate container and cool. It can be watered with indoor plants. Starch gives plants extra energy.
Step 5
Coffee dressing
Add used coffee grounds to plant soil. Coffee contains a lot of nitrogen, which is needed by plants. After adding coffee, do not overfill the plant so that the nitrogen is evenly distributed. The coffee grounds will loosen the soil.
